ENGINEER – PROJECTS – G4 X 1 (3 years Contract)

Overall purpose of the job

To undertake infrastructure development projects in order to develop the company’s capability to meet the demand for water and sanitation services.

Key responsibilities among others include:

• Development and implementation of policies, Standard Operating Procedures and Manuals in order to guide the operations of the Section.
• Supervision of the construction, rehabilitation and expansion of existing and new water supply and sanitation infrastructure in order to develop the company’s capability to meet the demand for water and sanitation services.
• Coordination of the stakeholder engagements in new project areas in order to facilitate successful implementation of projects.
• Project monitoring and reporting in order to ensure compliance to design specifications.
• Implementation of Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) and the development of the associated Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMP) for projects in order to comply with environmental regulations.

Qualifications and experience

• Full form V/Grade 12 School Certificate
• Bachelor of engineering in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent
• Paid up member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia
• 4 years’ experience
• Clean valid driving license
